The Winter Academy on "International Arbitration", organized by Luiss School of Law in conjunction with the Centre for International Dispute Settlement (CIDS) in Geneva, provides advanced instruction on key issues in international commercial and investment arbitration by some of the leading practitioners in the world as well as important insights on careers in this sector and focused networking opportunities.
Each session with the ten invited arbitration partners at international law firms begins with an interview with Prof. Douglas to explore the partner’s career path and to elicit that partner’s insights on the qualities and qualifications that are important for an associate in an international arbitration practice. The interview concludes with an insider’s view on the hiring process at the partner’s law firm and then a question-and-answer session with the audience.
