Through its advanced academic and professional program, the master trains experts in "law" and "policy" in Europe leading to several professional fields.
The combination of legal and policy training is of considerable interest for those who want to face a professional path within the European Union, in international law firms, in legal departments of national and international companies, within the national and international independent authorities and / or regulators, as well as public affairs companies that carry out consultancy activities.
Finally, the master offers an advanced preparation for those willing to undertake the EPSO selection process.
The Career Service provides students with strong support in building their professional path and is committed to assisting them in the transition from university to entering the job market. This process takes shape through regular meetings with the staff in charge of career guidance, followed by a careful analysis of each student’s strengths and areas for improvement that emerge from their approach to work.
Career Guidance Services
The Career Service offers career guidance services both in group settings and through one-to-one meetings.
Application Lab & Job Interviews Workshop
This workshop aims to provide students with the most effective basic tools for creating a CV and mastering interview techniques, in order to start connecting with the professional world.
One-to-One Meetings – Career Guidance
Career counseling is a service through which students can review their CV with a Career Service tutor, prepare for job interviews, receive guidance, enhance their potential, and identify an action plan consistent with their professional aspirations.
Our Career Support Programs:
-
Junior Program – Designed for those interested in finding a curricular internship. This program is intended for Master’s students facing their first contact with the job market and wishing to undertake a formative internship experience in institutions, organizations, or companies.
-
Senior Program – Designed for professionals who are already active in the job market. The program includes coaching sessions and soft skills training, with the aim of building an action plan to improve performance at work and increase employability through transversal skills.
An internship is a practical training experience that can take place in Italy or abroad, with employers (companies, professional firms, institutions, organizations, other universities, associations, research centers) in both the public and private sectors. The objective is to complete the educational process by applying the theoretical knowledge acquired during studies and moving towards future career choices.
Internships can be:
-
Curricular – carried out while enrolled as a student; it is not part of the study plan, is not linked to the awarding of university credits (ECTS), and must be completed before obtaining the Master’s degree.
-
Extracurricular – carried out as a graduate not enrolled in another university program. The maximum duration depends on the regulations of the Region in which the internship takes place.
Other Career Service Initiatives
Among other activities offered by the CS, Master’s students have the opportunity every year to participate in the Career Day: a valuable occasion to meet leading Italian and international employers, providing an important opportunity for visibility and professional networking.
In addition, as a partner of the EFMD network, Luiss offers all its students access to the Highered platform. By accessing this platform, which connects students, schools, and companies worldwide, students can explore and apply for internship and job opportunities on an international scale.
