The Master in Fasion Law as part of the teaching activities coordinated by Avv. Emanuele Rumi Rios of GPD – Studio Legale e Tributario, hosted Avv. Valentina Barich, Corporate Affairs Manager at Golden Goose, who delivered a lecture focused on the role of the legal and corporate affairs function within an international fashion group.
The session represented an important opportunity for students to engage with a professional actively involved in managing legal, governance, and strategic matters for a global brand.
During the lecture, Valentina Barich presented the structure and core activities of the group’s Legal and Corporate Affairs department, highlighting the increasingly strategic role of the legal function in decision-making processes and in the development of new initiatives. In particular, the discussion addressed topics related to corporate governance, the management of strategic projects, and coordination with different business functions to identify and mitigate legal risks.
The lecture also provided an in-depth look at several special projects undertaken by the group, illustrating how the legal department is involved from the earliest stages in structuring complex initiatives. The session proved to be a particularly engaging and insightful moment for the Master’s students, offering a practical perspective on the legal and organizational dynamics of the contemporary fashion industry.
