Organization

Each of the seven thematic modules of the Master has a duration of three weeks.

The first two weeks are dedicated to 40 hours of frontal lectures, while the last week is dedicated to studying and, either, submitting a paper or taking a test for the final evaluation.

Institutional visits, meetings and seminars with leading professionals may also be arranged during the course of each module.

The timetable of the Master is the following:

  • 19 January – 6 February: Space Policy
  • 9 February – 27 February: Space Governance
  • 2 March – 20 March: Space Security
  • 23 March – 10 April: Space Economy
  • 13 April – 1 May: Public International Space Law
  • 4 May – 22 May: Administrative Law of Space Activities
  • 25 May – 12 June: Space Law in Europe

Students are required to attend at least 80% of the teaching hours for each module. Upon completing all seven modules, participants may freely choose a thesis topic and select a supervisor from among the Master’s faculty. The final thesis must be submitted by 1 November 2026.

Students are not required to remain at Luiss Guido Carli while working on their thesis. Subject to the successful completion of all academic requirements, the First Level Master’s Degree in Space Law and Geopolitics will be awarded by 30 November 2026.
