Luiss Scholarship

CALL FOR ONE (1) SCHOLARSHIP FOR CANDIDATES INTERESTED IN ATTENDING THE SECOND LEVEL MASTER/LL.M. IN ART LAW A.Y. 2024/2025
ART. 1 – SUBJECT
Luiss School of Law is pleased to announce one (1) scholarship for candidates interested in attending the Second Level Master/LL.M. in Art Law (hereafter Master) during the academic year 2024/2025.
The scholarship consists of an exemption from the payment of the tuition fee for a value of EUR 9.500 (nine thousand five hundred euros) at Luiss School of Law, thus remaining up to the student the payment of the applicable revenue stamps (EUR 48,00).


ART. 2 – REQUIREMENTS
To participate to the selection procedure for the scholarship, candidates need to satisfy the following requirements:

  • A Single Cycle Undergraduate Degree in “Giurisprudenza” awarded before July 31, 2024
  • A final grade not lower than 110/110 (or foreign equivalent)
  • Knowledge of English, with a minimum certified level of C1 (CEFR).

ART. 3 – INCOMPATIBILITY
The scholarship is incompatible with any other study grants and/or scholarships offered by a public body or private organizations based in Italy or abroad.


ART. 4 – APPLICATION
Applications must be presented by completing the specific form attached to this call and available on this page and must be submitted through the dedicated online application form by August 30th, 2024.
The following documents must be attached to the application:

  1. Luiss Scholarship application form (download, fill in and attach to online Master application at the voice “Self-Declaration Luiss School of Law Scholarships – LL.M. in ART LAW”)
  2. copy of ID
  3. copy of degree certificate or equivalent certification issued by the University (e.g. Diploma Supplement)
  4. Certification of exams taken during the degree inclusive of academic years, official grades and earned credits
  5. Curriculum vitae in English language
  6. Motivation letter in English language
  7. Certification of knowledge of English


ART. 5 – AWARDING CRITERIA – SCREENING AND EVALUATION OF CVs
Candidates will be ranked according to their academic background, professional experience, age and motivation to attend the Master by a Selection Committee identified in accordance with this article.
The Selection Committee shall be composed by the Director and the Academic Coordinator of the Master. The Selection Committee may nominate the Academic Coordinator for undertaking the interviews, as well as substitutes to take part to the entire or part of the
selection procedure. The Selection Committee will proceed to the comparison of the document submitted by applicants, favoring the professional and educational connection with the art sector and the candidates’ ability to successfully complete the Master, by applying the following criteria for a maximum total of 50 points:

  • Up to 30 points for the curriculum studiorum
  • Up to 15 points for the curriculum vitae
  • Up to 5 points for language skills

ART. 6 – AWARDING CRITERIA – INTERVIEW
Candidates that will achieve a minimum score of 45 points during the screening and evaluation phase will be called to an interview to complete their admission process. Candidates selected for an interview will be informed through the email indicated in their application and must confirm their presence at the interview by e-mail within 2 working days from the communication. Should a candidate not confirm or attend the interview for any reason, he/she will be excluded from the selection process. The Selection Committee will have up to 50 points to assign for the interview, evaluating candidates’ motivation to apply, their skills and maturity based on their age, their specific professional aptitude for the field considered, as well as their background of
studies and professional experiences and any other matter considered relevant.


ART. 7 – RESULTS AND FORMAL ACCEPTANCE
The Selection Committee shall verify the formal regularity of the documents and announce the winner of the scholarship before December 13th, 2024. The Selection Committee bears the full responsibility of the selection procedure and its result are to be considered final. Winners will be informed using the email contact indicated in the application. A reserve list of candidates will also be prepared in case of non-acceptance or failure to accept. Within five days from the date of this communication, the winner must communicate to the Luiss School of Law its formal acceptance and send any other requested documents.
Failing to do so, the Selection Committee will move to the first candidate of the reserve list.


ART.8 – SCHOLARSHIP RULES
Students awarded the scholarships will be exempted from the payment of the tuition fee. Still, the following conditions apply:

  • correct enrollment in the Master
  • regular attendance (at least 80% of the total hours of classes), guaranteeing punctual arrival and full attendance of classes to be verified on an ongoing
  • basis
  • positive results of all tests and exams planned during the course.

The scholarships will be withdrawn should its holder not satisfy even just one of the conditions indicated in this article or in this call. In this case, the scholarship holder is mandated to full payment of the tuition fee if he/she wants to receive the Master’s degree. In case of failure to respect the above-mentioned conditions, the candidate will be excluded from any other future academic activity organized by Luiss Guido Carli.


ART.9 – CHECKS
Luiss School of Law reserves the right to carry out checks on the applications. In the case of any discrepancy between what has been declared and what has been verified, the scholarship will be withdrawn, and any further action envisaged by the law initiated.


ART.10 – PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
Luiss (Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli), as Controller, collects and processes data subjects’ information in full compliance with the general principles and rules laid down by the law governing the protection of personal data (Legislative Decree No. 196/03 and Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679). The processing is required to correctly manage the procedures inherent in the call for applications in relation to the master in Food Law and associated scholarships as well as associated and ensuing obligations: the characteristics of the processing are communicated through a privacy notice given to the data subjects, who are also requested to consent to the processing of their data should it prove necessary in relation to the aims pursued by the Controller. Art. 11 GOVERNING LAWS
The Master and the process of assignment of the scholarship is governed by the laws of the Republic of Italy, EU law and regulations, and Luiss University regulations, including this call.
