Luiss School of Law and Luiss School of Government are glad to announce the beginning of the Executive Program “Effective Management and Anti-Fraud Controls in the Use of EU funding instruments".
The program, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation through the CEI Fund at the EBRD, aims at devising an advanced training for civil servants from countries of the Western Balkan region on topics related to the strengthening of administrative capacity in the correct operational and final management of EU funds.
The first phase of the program, consisting in two online modules of 10 hours each respectively entitled “Public Procurement and Administrative Transparency” and “Accountability and efficiency in the Administrative processes with specific focus on EU funds”, will be followed by an intensive in-presence five-day module at Luiss Campus in Rome, which is foreseen on September 2024 and will be the core element of the project.
The program, whose scientific and professional effectiveness will also be enhanced by the operational partnership with the Procura, the judicial body of the Corte dei Conti (Italian Court of Auditors), is fully in line with the strategic objectives of the CEI plan of Action 2021-2023 and associated Know-How Exchange Program, supporting the strengthening of the economic and social advancement of the Western Balkan region through the enhancement of its public administration legal and technical capabilities.
As a result, this program will expand the knowledge and the expertise of national public officials as they will gain a direct knowledge of the “Italian” experience in these areas, thus giving them the chance to act as “knowledge ambassadors” as they return to their professional engagements, where they will be able to share and implement their newly acquired skills.
