Thanks to the presence of professors and experts in the sector, and with the direct involvement of Google, this master aims to form the figure of the Data Protection Officer who will be able to operate in the EU, according to the standards required by the European law.
Lessons will be held in Italian.
The European Regulation (679/2016) on the protection of personal data replaced the Privacy Code in May 2018, putting in place many news, such as:
- how to access personal data
- one-stop-shop mechanisms
- the right to data portability
- the principle of accountability
- notifications of violations to national authorities and to the users themselves (security breaches)
- the concept of privacy by design
Furthermore, the Regulation has introduced a new mandatory function, the Data Protection Officer, that is necessary when personal data is processed by private companies, authorities or public bodies.
The course in European Law for the Protection of Personal Data trains Data Protection Officers who can operate in the EU, according to the European Regulation standards.
The innovative approach of the course is confirmed, among other things, by the direct involvement of Google, whose experts are integral part of the faculty. Thanks to Google's contribution, scholarships will be available for both graduates and professionals.
